A girl’s bag, a marvelous mystery – what does it hold? What surprises lurk in the depths of those hidden pockets? Well let’s find out what was in mine.
River Island Purse, filled with more loyalty cards than money (sadly). When did I ever go to that restaurant to get that card? FYI apparently i’m only 4 nail appointments away from getting money off – yay. Also, a mixture of foreign change that I constantly mistake for Sterling (“I must take those out”, a reminder I say to myself every time I fiddle for a 10p and realise it’s actually a quarter.)
My oyster card. Basically my life. If lost, one cannot fathom how one will survive urban living. My oyster is graced with an old cheesy picture of myself, that if stopped i’m not sure they could connect the resemblance between current and past Beth. Also, over 20 national rail tickets from long train journeys to the north. Why I keep them, i’m not entirely sure.
Ghost moon shaped perfume. I’m not sure of the name, it smells nice and is a handy size to stuff in my bag. Very handy when in a foul smelling taxi, or sitting next to a possibly unwashed individual on the central line.
Mac Viva Glam lipstick. My favorite lipstick ever, the perfect nude! Fun fact: I actually own three of the same lipstick due to the fact I thought I lost it, and in actual fact it was in the depths of a previously used handbag – this has happened twice.
Elizabeth Arden 8hr cream. The cure for all ailments – Well not ALL obviously. Chapped lips? Sunburn? Sore nose from sniffling cold? Windburn? Blister? Chafing? Sore from the time your bra underwire attempted to kill you? This cream has got you covered.
Three packets of open chewing gum, two pen caps (no pens), one hairband, one napkin, one shopping list for a lean in 15 recipe i’m yet to make and one leaflet from a Jehovah’s Witness that I felt bad and spoke to for 10 minutes because everybody else ignored him.
So that is the content of my current handbag, quite minimal I must say!
I want to know what is the weirdest thing you’ve got in your bag or purse. Let me know in the comments section!
