This is my very last post of the year! Where has the time gone?
I hope that your 2016 has been truly amazing and that you’ve made hundreds of wonderful memories. To round up this month I have my December favourites, a summary of a few goodies I’ve really loved this month and given them a good trial to show honest opinion.
First, is a new product that I was kindly sent by Skintifique to try. ** This cleanser is made up of only 5 ingredients (Water (Aqua), Polysorbate 20, Poloxamer 184, 1,2-Hexanediol, Chlorphenesin) and is ideal for those with sensitive skin – like myself. I’m always cautious with ‘kind to skin’ products as often they still contain irritating chemicals and fragrances. This cleanser actually doesn’t smell and I found it to leave my skin feeling very fresh and not tight and uncomfortable – something i’ve often found with chemical based cleansers! It’s so easy to use and is very similar consistency to micellar water. Not only did I find this product to be non irritating but also incredibly cleansing. I work in London and i’m incredibly conscious of the pollution levels and what it can do to my skin, but at the end of the day I know I can rely on this cleanser to help take away the build up of chemicals and metals from the hours before. If you have sensitive skin, or like me want to protect your skin from pollution build up I would definitely give this cleanser a go!
Secondly, my Carli Bybel palette from bh cosmetics! I got this from Ulta beauty whilst in the US and I have not stopped using it! If your highlight and eyeshadow game need an extra bit of shimmer this palette is for you! 14 shades of pure highlight popping goodness.
Up next, my two top picks from my Decleor advent calendar. I have been obsessed with this advent calendar and opening all the little doors each day – I feel like a child again! ALL of the little goodies inside were amazing, but here are my two top picks. The hydra floral hydrating light cream is the absolute bees knees. It’s light, it smells amazing and it makes you glow like a disco ball. My skin feels fresh and rejuvenated, ready for whatever the day can throw at me, and you only need the smallest amount – win. My other absolute life saver from Decleor is the Aurabsolu intense glow awakening cream. On those dark winter mornings at 6am when I just want to stay in bed and be a duvet burrito this cream saves the day. I’m positive this cream doesn’t have caffeine in it, but it sure feels like it. Think a strong black coffee for your skin. Not only does this cream kick fatigue out the door and prep your skin nicely, it also gives you a luminous glow – I mean who doesn’t want to be luminous at 6am? Did I mention that everything from Decleor smells like what I imagine a princess to smell like as well? *Note that these are not full sized products, and were from a Decleor advent calendar*
And Finally, my latest love from Bobbi Brown – the Santa Barbara illuminating bronzer. If you click on the link it looks a vivid pink, but I assure you it isn’t! I’ve previously written about the beauty industries love/hate affair with blusher (you can read it here) and this I think is a great product to slowly ease you into it! This gives your cheeks a gorgeously blushed glow, with very very minimal product and a light hand! The reason why I love this product so much is because it’s very much three products in one: bronzer, blusher and highlighter!
So that concludes my December favourites! I can’t wait to see what wonderful things 2017 brings for myself and all of you lovely lot! If you’re celebrating NYE out or in I hope you have a lovely evening and from old movies and killer heels to you I wish you a happy new year!
Lots of love, Beth x
